Citizens for Europe
Seed Funding
Besides actively taking part in civil society discourses, the CFEU Core Team offers seed funding for projects with democratic innovation potential and provides its members with flexible small-scale project grants (3-10k EUR) and small mobility grants (up to 500 EUR). The Core Team comprises of grant makers and grantees who collectively decide about any support given.
Small-scale project grants (3-10k EUR)
Support is given on a rolling basis and through calls, available in the News section of this Website. Please also check third party resources made available to the community in the Resource section!
Mobility Grants (up to 500 EUR)
In order to initiate and maintain sustainable networks, having the possibility to meet peers across Europe in real life is essential. To that end, and because we know that financial resources are often scarce for European CSOs, we offer Mobility Grants allowing you to exchange with fellow activists, or participate in strategic meetings/events that you couldn’t attend otherwise.
New!! Online Mobility Grants to adapt to the COVID19 crisis’ impact on collaborative work
At Citizens for Europe we understand that in times of crisis, you need structures you can rely on. That is why we extended our mobility grants program: Initially intended to help you take part in meetings and events in person, we now support online mobility as well. Should you need to buy software ad-hoc to stay in contact with your constituency, hold Webinars, stream your events, train your staff… All this could fall under the Citizens for Europe Online Mobility Grant Program. If you have questions, other needs, or suggestions, please start a conversation with us on Skype (search for: Core Team, or contact [at] citizensforeurope.eu) or simply via e-mail contact [at] citizensforeurope.eu anytime.
Online Mobility Grants are awarded on a rolling basis, the usual terms apply: If you would like to request a Online Mobility Grant, please send us a short description of
- how much money you need and
- what you need the money for,
- stating very briefly and informally its relevance to your organisations’ objectives and
- how it would impact your work.
After a quick review and after (!) green light from the Core Team, we can support your organization/ initiative, after you have done the following:
- have an up to date account on the Website
- produce and upload a short article to your account (approx. 300 words) explaining your problem and/or solution to the crisis for the Citizens for Europe community to learn from your experience
- provide the copy of the invoice
Although we try to act as fast as possible, please be aware that we can only reimburse you if all of the points above-mentioned are met. Should you have further questions, please let us know at contact [at] citizensforeurope.eu
