Seit 2006 wird ein Preis für Kunstvereine in Kooperation von ADKV und ART COLOGNE verliehen, der die innovative Arbeit und Ausstellungspraxis eines Kunstvereins auszeichnet. Dotiert ist der Preis mit 8.000 €. Das Preisgeld wird von der ART COLOGNE gestiftet. Erstmals wird die ART COLOGNE Image-Filme der Preisträger*innen produzieren. Die Auszeichnung würdigt die Ausstellungspraxis der teilweise auf ehrenamtlicher Basis arbeitenden und mit nur geringem finanziellem Spielraum ausgestatteten Kunstvereine

 

 

Kriterien für die Vergabe des Preises

  1. Förderung zeitgenössischer Kunst im regionalen und internationalen Zusammenhang
  2. Kontinuierliche Präsentation von Gegenwartskunst in Ausstellungen sowie als temporäre Projekte außerhalb etablierter Kunstinstitutionen
  3. Entdeckung experimenteller künstlerischer Ansätze
  4. Entwicklung neuer Präsentations- und Ausstellungsformate
  5. Vergegenwärtigung der Traditionen aktueller Kunst
  6. Innovative Kunstvermittlung durch Führungen, Diskussionen, Rahmenprogramme u. ä.
  7. Auseinandersetzung mit aktuellen, gesellschaftlich relevanten Themen
  8. Aufbau interdisziplinärer Netzwerke auf regionaler und überregionaler Ebene
  9. Kulturpolitische Arbeit und Diskurse vor Ort
     

Nominierung

Um dem Preis für Kunstvereine eine entsprechende Öffentlichkeit zu garantieren, werden 16 Persönlichkeiten aus den Bereichen Kunst, Kultur und Medien gebeten, anhand des o.g. Kriterienkatalogs jeweils Kunstvereine zu nominieren. Wünschenswert ist, die gesamte Bandbreite der heterogenen Kunstvereinslandschaft abzubilden. Von der Nominierung ausgeschlossen sind die ehemaligen Preisträger. Kunstvereine von Vorstandsmitgliedern der ADKV können zwar nominiert werden, aber den Preis nicht erhalten.
 

Bewerbung

Zum zweiten Mal können sich Kunstvereine, die den Preis bislang noch nicht erhalten haben, zusätzlich direkt bewerben. Für die Bewerbung ist das im Anhang bereitgestellte Formular inklusive Anlagen vollständig und fristgerecht einzureichen.
 

Jury

Über den Preisträger entscheidet eine 5-köpfige Jury, ebenfalls zusammengestellt aus den Feldern Kunst, Kultur und Medien auf der Basis der nominierten Kunstvereine sowie der fristgerecht und vollständig eingereichten Bewerbungen von Kunstvereinen.

 

 

 

 

ADKV-ART COLOGNE Award for Kunstvereine

 

Since 2006, a prize for art associations has been awarded in cooperation with ADKV and ART COLOGNE, which honors the innovative work and exhibition practice of an art association. The prize is endowed with € 8,000. The prize money is donated by ART COLOGNE and will produce ImageReels which will be distributed on the websites. The award recognizes the exhibition practice of art associations, some of which work on a voluntary basis and have little financial leeway.

 

Criteria for awarding the prize

  1. Promotion of contemporary art in a regional and international context
  2. Continuous presentation of contemporary art in exhibitions and as temporary projects outside established art institutions
  3. Discovery of experimental artistic approaches
  4. Development of new presentation and exhibition formats
  5. Visualization of the traditions of contemporary art
  6. Innovative art education through guided tours, discussions, supporting programs, etc.
  7. Dealing with current, socially relevant topics
  8. Establishing interdisciplinary networks at regional and supra-regional level
  9. Cultural policy work and local discourse

Nomination

In order to guarantee that the prize for art associations receives the publicity it deserves, 16 personalities from the fields of art, culture and media are asked to nominate up to two art associations each on the basis of the above list of criteria. It is desirable to represent the entire spectrum of the heterogeneous art association landscape. Former award winners are excluded from the nomination process. Art associations of ADKV board members can be nominated but cannot receive the prize.

Application

Art associations that have not yet received the award can also apply directly. To apply, the form provided in the appendix, including attachments, must be submitted in full and on time.

Jury

A five-member jury, also drawn from the fields of art, culture and media, will decide on the winner on the basis of the nominated art associations and the complete applications submitted by art associations by the deadline.
