Weil Fliegen fliegen

Akinori Tao's Jahresgabe makes direct reference to his exhibition Jagdspuren in the Kunstverein's showcases. In this, he traces the animal and human traces that can be found in the station and places ephemeral moments in a tense relationship with sculptural techniques. A playing card becomes a triple fly swatter, showing on one side the swallow as the natural enemy of the annoying buzzer and on the other actual fly swatters in different color variations. Those who have mastered the card-throwing technique can actually use the playing card as a hunting weapon.
