Erika Landström is an artist and writer working in performance, sculpture, and printed matter. She explores the limits of language and embodiment through lived experience, critical theory, and psychoanalytic thinking. Her work centers on the tension between the self as an autonomous subject and the self as a process shaped by history, material conditions, and unconscious desires.

The works on display for the 2025 Jahresgaben  consist of four acoustic panels trimmed to A4 size. The panels are mounted in reverse, plastered and painted, and finally printed with groupings of words that spell out a poem. The works evoke bodily experience — their base material recalling techniques used to mitigate urban and industrial sound pollution — while conceptually and textually addressing the invasiveness and pleasure of sound and speech.
