ADKV Wulf Herzogenrath Award for voluntary work

On 2 November 2024, at the opening event of the ADKV-Herzogenrath Forum, the ADKV Wulff-Herzogennrath Award for voluntary work in art associations was presented for the first time.
Wulf Herzogenrath, co-founder of the ADKV, is the initiator and founder of the award. It was very important to him to honor the diverse volunteer work of art associations with an award. The ADKV would like to express its sincere thanks to Wulf Herzogenrath for this initiative and for establishing the award.
The inaugural winner was Gertrude Wagenfeld-Pleister , the long-standing chairwoman and artistic director of the Oldenburg Art Association.
Although the prize is not endowed, it is presented with an artistically designed certificate. The 2024 certificate was designed by Alexander Wolff, one of the artists with whom Gertrude Wagenfeld-Pleister realised a solo exhibition at the Oldenburger Kunstverein. The basic grid reflects the Kunstverein's floor plan, with the names of the recipient, donor and prize embedded within it.
ADKV is delighted to be able to honour the extensive voluntary commitment of Kunstverein members in this exemplary manner.
